For the 250th anniversary of George Frideric Handel’s death Virgin Classics issued a set of six of his operas. In an attempt to move away from traditional classical music packaging we selected a photographic approach that evokes sumptuous celebration. Night-time photographs of illuminated trees by London based photographer Rosalie Portman stand for the different operas, with only the title of the opera to complement them. The box comes complete with a booklet and CD-Rom containing the libretti.
