The National Archives
2017

As part of the design team for the improvement of the public spaces at The National Archives, we’ve been designing a flexible display system, to allow the Archive to advertise their rich cultural programme digitally and in different printed formats. The Welcome Wall in the foyer of the iconic modernist building in Kew consists of a slotted cement board wall, reflecting the concrete finishes found everywhere in the building, as well as an elaborate system of displays for posters, leaflets and AV screens.
The slot pattern has also been adapted for window manifestation and other potential wayfinding devices to be developed in the future.
In 2019 we’ve drawn a new orientation map of the building.
