Catalogue for OPEN, the Designers in Residence programme 2016 at the newly opened Design Museum.
Part of the commission for the exhibition graphic design was the catalogue for the Designers in Residence 2016, Alix Bizet, Clementine Blakemore, Andrea de Chirico and Rain Wu. To draw attention to the collaborative research and manufacturing process that is integral to the work of this year’s designers but never visible in the finished product, we concealed the documentation of this process inside a perforated french fold. A subtle shine through of the images suggests the presence of the process, and the reader is invited to explore it by tearing open the perforation.
