The first monograph by Berlin based slovenian award winning photographer and former environmental campaigner Vanja Bućan. The book captures a decade of photographic performative research of anthropocentrism and altered personal ecologies, investigating our habit of romanticising and longing for nature, and its resulting subjugation by us humans. Is the nature where we’re longing to spend time ‘in truth’ all that natural?
Catch Nature is a pool of layered realities, the artist’s refusal to accept the normative representation of nature and its dual politics.
